Finalists Announced For Hotel & Tourism Awards 2008

The finalists have now been announced in this year’s Black Country Hotel and Tourism awards.

Dozens of staff working in the region’s hotel and tourism industry will soon find out if they have won the top award after being shortlisted in one of the thirteen categories.

Industry experts began judging several weeks ago and have worked their way around the Black Country visiting hotels and attractions in their bid to judge the region’s people, its tourism products and services.

The Black Country Hotel & Tourism Awards will culminate in a gala dinner and awards ceremony on Friday 11th April at the Park Hall Hotel, Wolverhampton, when all the shortlisted finalists will find out if they are to be named the overall winner in their category and receive a specially commissioned piece of glass to carry off along with the title.

Several of the award winners will automatically go forward to the Regional Tourism Awards with the chance of winning on a regional or even a national level.

The Black Country Hotel & Tourism Awards were launched three years ago by Black Country Tourism to celebrate the diversity and quality of the tourism product in the region and to help raise standards at a local level.

Tickets for the evening are now on sale priced £35 for members and £40 for non members.
